Well you have 2 GREAT things working on your side...
1. The magic 8 ball always tells you what you want to hear, So "All signs point to YES!"
2. Earnhardt Sr. always thought Burton could be one of the next greats of all time.. and If Sr thought that about you, You know you're someone special.
Just for my 2 cents.. Burton has that calm before a storm kind of attitude. He's one of the most talented drivers out there, and probably one of the smartest. He's calm, quick, elusive... He's going to win a championship before his time is over.

He's a good driver, I'll give you that. But as far as the fact that "he tries so hard," that's not a reason for somebody to win a championship. I'd try hard too if I were a NASCAR driver....but I'd end up in the wall within 5 laps of a real race. The fact that he tries hard does not make him deserving of a championship, as every driver out there tries just as hard.
I'd like to see him win a championship, as I feel he deserves it based upon the type of person and driver that he is. Jeff Burton is truly a class act. Will it happen? I'm not sure....but it'd better happen within the next few years as age is catching up with him pretty fast.

I think it can happen. All the teams are going to step up after what Jimmie and Jeff did this year. RCR has the means to do that in a big way, especially if they can avoid engine failure, which I am sure the team engineers are doing right now. Jeff Burton is, as most of the other people here said, one of the most talented drivers out there. Age doesn't matter for him, he is on his way up, just as much as some of the newer drivers, if not more.

I think he is championship material also and hope to see it soon. He is in his 40's now so it's gonna have to happen within the next few years but, I think it is possible. He had a much better year this year and who knows, maybe next year? I will keep my fingers crossed along with you. The only problem I see, is that he is not agressive and sometimes, that is what it takes to win races.

There is no doubt that he is a championship caliber driver as well as one of the most respected drivers in Nascar. I think he can do it if his pit crew can be solid and have a little luck go his way he can win it.

I think he has Championship Qualities--He is the most level headed driver out there in my Opinion--He just needs some better luck. If they could Qualify better he would be up front instead of being in the Mid Pack messes!!!!!
