It was fine literally two hours ago, and now it's going berserk! Whenever I click on a program on my desktop, it highlights like four other programs, so they all open up! Or it says, "UnEraseWizard" on all programs may be slower for my computer? or something along the lines of that. Then it sometimes says there are 1475 protected files on this computer, choose to "purge 1475 files" or something. And when I open up Mozilla Firefox, when I try to enter something, it automatically opens up a new window. And I have to have "caps lock" on for me to type correctly? It's so weird. Someone please tell me what is wrong with my computer. Thanks in advance.

It does sound weird. If you are using Windows XP, you can restore your computer to a state before the problems started with System Restore. To start the process, go to Start Menu > Help and Support > Undo changes to your computer with System Restore > Restore my computer to an earlier time > select a time before the problems started (e.g. yesterday) > [Next > Restart.

There is a good chance your computer was infected with some malware (e.g. virus, spyware, Trojan Horses...). If you have an antivirus program installed on your computer, now would be a good time to scan your computer with it. Be sure to quarantine any suspicious files. You should also scan for spyware. There are several free security programs available so there is no need to spend a dime. The 3 most popular antivirus programs are AVG, Avast and Antivir. As for anti spyware programs, you can use Spybot Search&Destroy and Lavasoft's Ad Aware. You can find all these programs at www.filehippo.com (i.e. look under antivirus and anti spyware)
