i am planning on buying something off eBay and of course i see a lot of those items that claim to be selling a $400 item for $3.00. i was thinking that i could try one of those cheap ones from a seller with really good feedback, just to see what happened. if its a scam, i only lose a couple bucks and if it works (which i doubt) then great. im just kinda bored and am thinking, why not? is this a good idea even if its just a couple bucks? and also are there ever any of those "deals" that are legit?

The starting price does not mean it will go for that unless it's a "buy it now" item. Most of the auctions start low, but by the time the auction is over, are much higher. That's not a scam, that's how auctions work.

You can bid low and hope nobody bids higher - sometimes there are some bargains, but on desirable items you'll probably get outbid.

Look at "completed items" to see what they really went for. Sometimes there are no bids at all - then if you had bid the minimum you might have gotten the item for that.

each and every thing on eBay starts off out quite much less costly and there is no assure that it will circulate severe. I even have offered some issues on eBay and bid until I have been given them - so the cost became into severe and in keeping with possibility the employer did make some funds. yet there are thousands of comparable products to what i offered and countless are actually not likely to sell in any respect. i could say a million) get a instruction manual to advertising on eBay ('eBay for Dummies' or something like it. and 2) understand the object you will sell truly nicely - be an expert on that merchandise given which you will could answer questions approximately it and you opt for to understand the cost of the element previously you attempt to sell it. Are you an astounding expert on something? assemble a number of those issues and attempt to sell them. See the way it is going.
