Would hiatal hernia be visible by mobile AP chest X-ray?

My husband has gone to the ER twice with chest pains and both times he has been cleared of heart problems and told it was panic attacks. To me, it sounds like hiatal hernia based on his symptoms (acid reflux, burning in center of chest, excessive burping, among other things). My question is, when he had an x-ray done in the ER, would it have been visible?

It could have been visible - no guarantees. Maybe he should have an upper GI.
