You need to talk to your doctor about your weight and diet. Your at the age where your body is going through a lot of changes, most beyond your control. 500 calories is way too few. You need a healthy diet and exercise, but remember that you can't spot burn. Cardio may help burn the fat around your middle, but sit-ups will not. Again, talk to your doctor.

Start today.
Variety of exercise is the key I have found. For example..an exercise called Mountain Climbers.
Mountain climbers are done by starting in a pushup position
and then shuffling your feet in and out so that your knees are
moving in under your chest and then back out to starting
position. It sort of resembles climbing a mountain but flat on
the floor. If you want an advanced version, you can also shuffle your hands 8-10 inches forward and backward in
addition to the leg movements. This really makes it a full
body exercise and MUCH more difficult than standard mountain climbers.
After finishing each exercise, rest about 30 seconds before
starting the next exercise. Rest about 1-2 minutes after
completing each "tri-set" before repeating.
This will give you one of the best ab workouts you've ever had
without even doing any direct ab exercises. You'll see what I
mean after you try it!
Once you get away from the myth that a 1000 crunches and 500 situps a day is all you need to do for great abs, then amazing results can be seen.
There is a completely free 65 page ebook about exercise, nutrition and abs and stomaches in particular at http://www.projext.co.uk that you can download (no catch!) and it is excellent.
It helped me greatly.

Well to put it this way, eat healthy foods, don't drink anything besides water.
I think i can give ya a good work out for some lose of stomach fat, since most females i think lose weight or "fat" from their waist.
Workout:
5-6 days of cardio (running, jogging, walking, biking, swimming, ECT.)
Weight lifting, i know this sounds silly for you, but it will work a LOT trust me. it wont get you bulky or anything, just to tone you up. 3-4 days with 5-10 pounds rest btw each day or 2. If you did not know, more muscle, which from the weight lifting will provide, equals more calories burned. Your target is to lose fat from your stomach, and thats exactly what will happen, the fat will burn off.
But beware, its not 100% it'll happen in such a sort time, in about 3 weeks, more of like 1 - 2 months it'll be great then.
You should be eating about 1500 - 1800 calories each day to prevent starvation mode, when you eat to little calories, and everything you eat will be turned to fat. So please, don't starve yourself, if you do, there is a possibility of dying, and i am serious b/c your body isn't getting the right stuff into its systems.
Don't use that tea as one of the people mentioned, if you lose that much like she said 6 pounds, in 2 days, it is NOT healthy and can actually damage your body. Don't buy any of that stuff at GNC, as everything there is crap, seriously, none of it works, all it is, is a placebo affect, and you definitely will gain those pounds back, just like taking steroids, once your off you lose everything you gain.
Also once again, some people are posting like idiots, you cannot burn fat from doing "stomach crunches" they will only build the muscle under the fat, which will make you look even bigger.

1st of all YOU ARE NOT FAT at 148 and your height. And shame on your mother for saying you are. 2nd.....if you eat only 500 calories you will KILL your metabolism and I can't tell you how many problems you will have when you get older from doing this. You need to Feed your body. If you don't give your body enough calories, it will think it is starving and then your metabolism will shut down. Go to the following web site: Http://burnthefat.com and learn how to feed your body properly. You are already excersizing (running). Add proper nutrition (feed your body) and do some strength training (build some muscle) and you will look awesome and that stomach pouch will be gone. BTW: muscle weighs more than fat, so you can actually weigh more and look better if you build muscle and loose fat.

Sorry, I really think all of these answers are crazy! First off, you are almost 15, your body is still changing, hormones do that when you are becoming a woman. It sounds to me that your height and weight are nearly perfect! Girl, if you want a flatter belly cut out junk food, just eat a little better and add a few walks in your week. Heck, some basic exercises along with that will do wonders. Embrace what you have, your mom is obviously way off- just figure your BMI- your fine!

hi! well to start with you don't have to worry about how much calories you eat a day, just watch what you eat cut down on your junk food and dont eat nothing to heavy for a snack at night thats not good, eat your 3 meals a day with some light snacks in between,go for walks and just be more active and you see you will feel better and you will loose weight,i dont think you have to loose weight, the worst thing to do is skip meals or not eat you will not get skinnier by doing that you will actually gain more weight doing that and you will feel like crap and be really tired.

You are, at 135 pounds, borderline underweight for your height.
Check out these websites.
Note that the measurements are for adults.
See a dietician or medical practitioner, health nurse etc.
At fifteen years old, you should be doing exactly what you are doing, exercising and eating properly. You should not concern yourself about your weight until you get a bit older.
Your mom is quite wrong to call you fat. Tell her to prove it using Body Mass Index.

I think the best way is to be careful with your food and continue your regular exercise...diet plays a very important part in weight maintenance...you can try cutting out eating carbohydrates, or limiting the intake of it, I feel it works to for me...
joining a gym may be a good way to motivate you and the gym instructors can tailor a plan to suit you and work on areas you are concerned with!
overall, eat healthy, think healthy, exercise, you're on track!
don't let anyone tell you otherwise, you are beautiful!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

You should be eating a lot of healthy foods and cutting sugar out of your diet. You shouldent starve yourself. thats only going to put your body into a fat storing mode and make it harder to lose weight. Try to go for a quick jog everyday after school. 3 miles a week isnt that much.
