Yes , I'm hoping so because that would get pretty boring if there wasn't a new champion in 08' . I'm thinking Tony Stewart or one of the RCR drivers, but I'm really hoping for David Reutimann!!

Probably but nobody expected Jimmie to win 2 in a row. He is doing a lot of stuff that people haven't thought he would and that hasn't been done in a long time (4 wins in a row and, 10 wins for the season and back to back championships). He will have a shot at 3 STRAIGHT IN '08 but the odds are definitely against him. I think it will between a Hendrick or Roush/Fenway driver in 2008, so Jimmie's chances are about 1 in 6 or 7, in my opinion.

Personally, I would have to say yes because of all of the other talent at Hendrick Motorsports next year along with RCR and Joe Gibbs Racing. There has only been one driver in history to have three championships in a row and that was Cale Yarborough in the mid '70s.
DALE JR. #1!!!

I hope so. I think RCR will be back into the championship again with his 3 drivers... and hopefully 1 of his drivers will win the championship.

I would like to see Dale Jr or Clint Bowyer, Jeff Burton, Carl Edwards, even Harvick, maybe Biffle, some body new.. I have a feeling Roush-Fenway is going to be hot next yr, I had the same gut feeling last yr at this time, when I said Jimmie Johnson would be champ again...
Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2008

I wouldn't bet money on it, but I just posted a blog yesterday where I predicted Tony Stewart would win the Cup next year (it's a contract year, you know). It will pave the way for him to either get a buttload of money out of Gibbs on a new agreement or for him to get top dollar from another organization.
Jimmie will be there to push him, as well as Jr., Shrub, and possibly Edwards or Kenseth.
It hurt to say it as a Gordon fan, but I predicted he wouldn't make the Chase in '08. Just a hunch.

Yes. Even Richard Petty was unable to win three consecutive championships. Only one driver was able to do that in all of NASCAR history; Cale Yarborough from 76-78. The 48 team is good, but they're not THAT good. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if another HMS car won, though.

I would say yes. The other teams have caught up somewhat to Hendrick teams. I think it's time for a Roush Ford to go back to the winners circle as champion.
