hunting can be done in all kinds of weather.it is the experience and you can always learn things.you can use the experience for other trips.we keep a small notebook of each trip. we write down everything including the weather.i have now hunted for about 50 years.i have harvested animals in all kinds of weather. make your own hunting decisions and do not blame anyone/my oldest son is 35. i always let him use my deer stand. he never saw anything and never killed anthing/.this went on for about 6 years.i killed something every year from his stand. we finally switched. for the nexy 4 years i killed something every year from my stand. my son never killed anything from his stand. even at his age you have to learn your surroundings and how the deer react.the biggest things are to be patient and alert. i finally let him hunt inside my stand with me. i showed him things to look for.lets just say he is still learning.make every year a learning experience.

I have had some good luck deer hunting in a slow drizzling rain, but if it's raining hard, deer usually bed down. Also you gotta think about it...if it's raining hard, do you want to stand out in the rain to clean the deer?
The older I get, I find that I have a much more 'practical' (lazy) approach to hunting.

Deer usually don't move as much in the rain, but I have killed deer and turkeys in the rain. A rainy day can be a great time to still hunt; the wet leaves and noise of the rain can mask your movement.

Really not a good idea to hunt in the rain, but everyone does. If its not raining to hard the deer will move but if it is pouring they usually will sit tight. Whats nice about the rain is that it washes away your sent. Just remember not to take any bad shots because it will be hard to track a deer with the blood being washed away.

depends ive hunted some areas that were heavily hunted in the past in good weather an the deer seemed to know in bad weather not that many hunters were out an moved alot saw some good bucks, also if the weather is good first thing than turns to rain alot of guys will leave the woods if you stay their movement can push deer into your area.

depends on the time of year, how hard, etc. if it is light rain deer really don't pay much attention to it. but if it is raining hard deer generally get in thick areas or lay down on a side of a hill so the water will run off of them. but i have killed a nice deer in a thunder storm before. i personally love to hunt when it is lightly raining. you can slip up on deer and it seems to knock you scent down.

I'm a bow hunter and I love to hunt in the rain and the snow. You just have to understand that the animals are less mobile when the weather is bad.

It's not the best time to hunt deer, but you have to ask yourself if you would rather sit at home or have a chance of shoot a huge deer.

I have heard that deer usually move more in the rain, just go out in the early morning before daylight and cross your fingers and keep your eyes and ears open.... somedays you dont see anything, thats just how it goes sometimes.....
