If you are convicted of a crime in a foreign country will you have a criminal record your home country?

I was convicted in NZ of a drug offense - I am from Australia - does that mean I will have a criminal record in Australia?

That is ENTIRELY up to your home country. They can choose to recognize the conviction in another country or not.
