Tater is accurate, by Christian theology.
Anyone who *is* a Christian *is* born again.
There are no first and second division Christians in this respect.
I do suspect, however, that many who would describe themselves as "born again" would have some trouble rendering its essence and implications into every-day language.
As to who's happier, I'm not sure it's of great relevance, or easily established.
(Ex-Christian atheist, which is a whole other can of worms)

All true believers are "born again". We are born again when we are saved through the Love of Christ. True salvation means youhave accepted Christ as your savior, admitting you are a sinner and He has died for you, paying your sin debt in full and giving you eternal life. This makes you a new creation in Christ- thus giving your true happiness, peace and joy because now the Spirit lives in you..changing you daily as you confess your sin and are oesient to the Truth, God's word, The Bible

People under the influence of nitrous oxide appear happier, too.
Happiness is not tantamount to knowing the truth. As they say, ignorance is bliss.

"The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one."

A person cannot be a Christian if they have not been born again. There is no such thing.

Happiness is a temporary state of mind. Christians have joy from the Lord. Joy can be felt even when your present circumstances do not make you happy.
