That can be checked, a dentist or his regular doctor can take a look at it.

Sounds like the draining point of an abscessed tooth. Does he have a toothache in the area that mysteriously goes away when the problem happens in his mouth? If so it's because the gas and puss from the infection causes pain until it drains out the area in his mouth. Gross, I know! Have him see a dentist for an xray to see which tooth is the culprit and get a root canal done to get rid of the infection for good. Good luck!

The bump on the gum of your husband's mouth is more than likely a fistula. A fistula appears when a tooth's nerve is dying or is dead and the tooth needs endodontic treatment(root canal). This bump probably has more than blood ..it contains pus and left untreated can drain into your system and also make him sick --because the tooth is constantly draining infection. Get him to a dentist ASAP..his tooth needs the attention of a dentist soon.
