Samsung Digimax S500 | Critique photos I took?

Question

I started a Flickr as suggested,I'm a junior in high school (16yearsold) and hopefully planning on becoming a photographer ....

I use a Samsung Digimax S500 it's a 'point and shoot' camera and quite inexpensive so I have to work on the zooming in and out to get the whole depth of field effect,I would like an SLR camera,but parents are currently having money crises issues and I'm saving up on my own for a more advanced camera as I continue to practice and learn more about photography.


Any feedbacks towards the photos,I took this afternoon

Does the camera quality look fine?

You have a good eye but have not yet mastered the technical aspects of this camera. Before purchasing a DSLR, put a bit more time in learning proper focus and depth of field control. I think you'll do quite well.

I really like the shell pic , and the flower ones, i am 16 too , and i have been taking images for about 6 months,

I think these look great. You have really good field of depth in these shots and a good eye. Keep up the good work.

i think they were all good but the first two top ones had a bit of lighting problems, i really like that one of the pink flower that is probably the best in my opinion

i've a digicam that does the equal factor i forgot what manufacturer however it used to be an pricey one... a few one informed me that it used to be due to the fact i placed the batteries the fallacious method the primary time so it messed all of it up... i remorse now not returning it due to the fact its nonetheless the equal method...
