I always get thumbs down when I post the sewing pattern that mine was based on, but hey girls, we all want different things, that's what makes us girlies so wonderful!!! We had a very informal wedding, very non-traditional so a traditional style of dress just did not look right on me, so I opted for this style of dress, but in a gorgeous blue silk and the dress maker altered the top so it didn't look so m shaped, I wish I could post a real picture as this pattern does it no justice:

I am having a somewhat informal wedding so for me it was all about the dress being informal but still really classy. I will probably buy a nice big rhinestone brooch to put on my hip. I chose this dress because I liked the look of strapless on me but I am only 5'3" so most strapless dresses were not in proportion with me. I mean some of them have this sort of scoop thing going on in the front down near my hips and it just didn't look right. I swear the dress I chose was made specifically for me! It is in proportion with my body and makes me look amazing! I love it!

I absolutely love the first dress you have. It reminds me of my dress.
This is pretty close to what my dress was.

After answering questions on yahoo answers (2 1/2 yrs after my wedding!) I saw this dress and fell in love. But who knows what it would look like on.

I also recently found this dress that I love, It is so similar to my dress but I think the detail is nicer and I love the corset back. Plus the train is detachable and that is actually what I had been looking for when I was dress shopping. So I think if this dress had been around, or if I had found it then it would have been perfect for me.

(Mathie, I love your dress best of all!)
The bodice of the first one is really pretty, but don't like the pouffy skirt. Don't like the second at all. Third is a maybe.
Sorry, don't have pics of mine to access. It was a totally traditional wedding gown, scoop neck, long sleeves (kind of Renaissance, but not pouffy), basque waist, full skirt, cathedral train, embellished with crystals, pearls and beads. Was of soft bridal satin, and was a dream!

I like your 2nd one the best! And other posters had some really beautiful ones, too! This is not my favorite picture, but it shows my dress well, here it is:

My dress is being made by my grandmother and has the pattern that goes with this picture:

Of the ones you showed, I like the third the best but I don't think that any of them are for me.
