Is it worth getting a PS3 without and HDTV, or do you need an HDTV?
Are the graphics as good as the 360's without an HDTV for the PS3?

PS3 is amazing even on standard TV. I own SDTV and the graphics are amazing. HDTVs are too expensive.

Well, you do not NEED a PS3 to operate your PS3. The graphics difference isn't much, but if you're a crazy gamer, then you won't survive without a HDTV. The graphics are actually 15% better than a 360's graphics. Many people have been saying that the PS3 isn't worth getting, but it actually is. In 2008, the PS3 will become the best-selling game system for sure because of upcoming games that are EXCLUSIVELY on the PS3.

I wouldn't listen to the people bashing xbox because they're not trying to answer your question they're just putting in a one sided thought with bias. Any way The point of a ps3 is good graphics so although you don't need a HDTV to play it it takes away from the point. The blueray player in it would be useless too because you wouldn't have HD picture. Xbox 360 graphics are just as good, 1080p is 1080p

You dont need a HDTV to play on a playstation 3 but if you do have a HDTV the graphics will be better. PS3's do work on SDTV's

You don't need an HD TV to see the beauty of the PS3's advanced graphics, an HD TV only makes the picture sharper and improves the color and contrast. The PS3's games have much better graphics than the xbox 360, and will continue to get better as time goes on.
