Anyone who tells you your dog will not die is 100% wrong. All dogs die. So do all cats, horses, people and other living things. Watch her and call the vet if she acts like anything is wrong. Chances are this will not be the cause of her death.

My only help here is personal experience. My dog (30 lbs.) ate a half a small bag of milk duds. I took her to the emergency vet clinic and the doctor who examined her told me that she had really ingested a small amount in proportion to her body weight. And since milk duds are just covered in chocolate (milk chocolate) she would probably be fine. She told us she could give her the charcoal and make her throw up but she truly thought she would be fine. She sent us home and just made us watch her. Sure enough, she was okay and now we are more careful where we leave the chocolate. Good luck.

No yet chocolate is truthfully no longer solid for them in any respect. indexed under are another issues canine are no longer assume to ever consume. Chocolate Raisins Grapes Garlic Onions something alcoholic uncooked Yeast Bread Dough Macadamia Nuts Avocado Xylitol ( contemporary in sugar loose gum) those issues can harm your canine liver, abdomen intestines and pancreas.that does no longer propose that they'll die in the event that they get a number of those products yet they'll fall unwell and may be doing harm you will possibly desire to no longer be waiting to work out.

Dark Chocolate is a cause for concern...especially if you dog is only 10 pounds. People tend to think that "you're dog isn't going to die," but they have no idea how much chocolate your dog really ate. I suggest going to the vet if your dog is showing any unusual signs of distress or illness.
# For milk chocolate, about 1 ounce per 1 pound of a dog's body weight can be lethal.
# For semi-sweet chocolate.... the chocolate in semi-sweet or dark chocolate candy bars and Easter candy, the chocolate coating in a box of "dark chocolates", or the chocolate in semi-sweet morsels or chocolate chips... about 1/3 ounce per 1 pound of a dog's body weight can be lethal.
# For the dark unsweetened chocolate used in baking, about 1/10 ounce per 1 pound of a dog's body weight can be lethal.
# That means that for a 10 pound dog, about 10 ounces of milk chocolate, 3 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate, or just one ounce of baking chocolate could be lethal.

if your dog ate a little bit of chocolate it should be okay if it ate a lot then go to the vet. It probably won't die but could get sick vomiting or diarrhea.

She's rather small. How much chocolate was there? If it was a tiny amount, and a bigger dog, I wouldn't worry. You should probably go to the vet to be sure. They can induce vomiting.

It's the caffine in chocolate that bothers dogs. Very large amounts can kill them if nothing is done. Your dog will most likely not feel well for a while and throw it up. Bodies tend to throw things up that isnt good for them in an attempt to save themselves. You could call the local vet to ask any questions.

no, she might get a little sick though. when i was little, and didn't know that you weren't supposed to feed dogs chocolate, i was playing with my sisters dog, and i had a bunch of those chocolate covered graham cookies, and i fed her a lot of them, my sister caught me and told me that dogs can't eat that kind of stuff because it would make them sick, and sure enough, a little while later, she threw up all over the living room carpet, i learned my lesson.
