The Marine Corporal who raised the U.S. flag on the flag post at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan during the early days of Operation Enduring Freedom is an Afghan-American and a Muslim. The Air Force Captain who rushed into the burning Pentagon on September 11, 2001 and led hundreds to safety while getting badly burned himself is a Muslim.
Those who are in Al Queda and say they are Muslims are not. You know that they even use "Takfir" as an excuse for the killing of Muslims. Each of their acts is a Haraam. More importantly, your fellow Marines will know that as well and welcome you into their ranks.

Yes you should if you decide that what you want to do. Im a Marine and there is in no way that your religion will hinder you as a Marine. Once you earn that title you are a Marine, period. I know a guy that came to the US from Iran when he was 8, it doesnt make a differece that he is muslim, he's just one of the guys. You will not be treated different. In the Marine Corps you will be deployed no matter what your job is. But if you look at the statistics of the number deployed vs the number killed your mothers chances are pretty good that she'll keep her oldest son. Ask any question that you need to.

The founder of the Association is a Muslim Arab. I talked to him online, check out the website. Also try this: http://theamericanmuslim.org/tam.php/features/articles/muslims_in_the_military/0013612

I would suggest talking with other Muslims who are or have been in the Marines. Perhaps "It's Me" would be willing to connect you to some fellow Marines. I completely understand all the questions you have about this choice, and think other Muslims in the service could help answer them. God bless you for your ambition to serve your country, either in the military or in law enforcement.

Many will disagree, but as a young Muslim man I can say with confidence the United States Muslim Corps is for you

If you join the military, there is always a chance of being killed. I doubt that being Muslim will increase your odds. Are you worried about the other Marines, or are you worried about a Muslim enemy?

Regardless of faith, nationality, or race, you should ALWAYS do what your heart tells you to do.
If serving Uncle Sam in the USMC is your calling, then you should go ahead and do it.
