After reading some of the things from other people I am going to get a LCD HD TV 720p around 27", mainly because I dont have the money for anything bigger or better. My question is what cables and stuff like that do I need to hook up my PS3 to the TV?

the cables in the box are alright but if u are getting and LCD tv, Get one with 720p and 1080i. if it's smaller then "30". Because it will look good and u wouldn't beable to fined 1080p on a tv of that size. If u have 1080i and 720p u will be fine if it's "30" or smaller and it will look great. Make sure the TV has HDMI Port

PS3 is optimized for 1080p HDTV but 720p is ok since there is no obvious difference between 1080p and 720p in units below 50 inches. PS3 comes with AV cable that supports most TV, including HDTV but since you are getting 720p it is wise to use HDMI cable (sold separately) for better audio and video quality. HDMI cable cost around more or less $30 to $99 (Monster brand is better but more expensive). If you can find a bargain 1080p so much the better. I bought my Samsung 40" 1080p for only $1149 (Door-buster price at best buy), 18-months to pay. Watch for sale events. Also for your info, PS3 40gb does not support PS2 and PS games, PS3 80gb does support but expensive by a hundred. Good luck!

You would either need AV Component cable or an HDMI cable. Most LCD tv's should support both of those cables. Be sure to check what type of cables you get. Regular AV cables do not support 720p.

Since you are getting a HDTV, and HDMI cord would be good, and if you don't get the HDMI cord, get some Component Cables because the PS3 only comes with Composite cables.

i dont know about the ps3 but the 360 came with a cable that you can switch over to HD tv and then there should be a place in the options screen where you can pick the 720p option.

You'll need HDMI cable (1.3a), Monstercable or Sony.
