save yourself some $$ and pain and don't do as a lot of people suggest to rush off to the vet at the first sign of anything odd, puppies will vomit sometimes vomit, get the runs, be abnormally sleepy for a day, walk funny for a day due to growth, and even have changes in thier bark soemetimes... go to the vet when your common sense tells you it is urgent and if anything abnormal does not change after a day or 2.....
some possibilities for the vomiting - if the food is still pretty much intact in the vomit then he just ate too fast which is common if they find a new food they like, if he just got shots or meds within the previous 24 hours then that can be a cause and does not typically mean a problem but should call vet to let them know, check for anything he may have drank or ate that is not natural such as soapy water or perfume or plant leaves or ? and if he did then you should call vet to see if they advise any action for the particular item he ate or drank.... lastly, it could just be he was playing wayyyyyyy toooo much or even drinking water toooooo much or tooooo fast will cause them to vomit but if it was from the water then it should be very liquidy although still will not look clear like water.. godd luck

A quick change of food can do a number on a dog's tummy for sure! If you puppy seems alert and active, and is eating and drinking normally, that was most likely the problem. You may need to keep puppy in a crate or stop free feeding your dogs when you are out to keep him from eating the older dogs food. If your dog seems fine now, you "probably" don't need a vet, but if he continues to throw up a trip to the vet might be the best thing just to be safe. Better safe then sorry, but I would not worry too much about it until a doctor finds something wrong. Hope your puppy is feeling better now.

It could be that eating the different food upset his tummy, it's perfectly possible! Especially if he's a young puppy.
If he's now doing well, is up to date on his shots, is no longer vomiting or having any diarrhea, isn't unusually sleepy or lethargic, and is eating and drinking normally, chances are he's okay.
But, if you notice any of the symptoms above, definitely seek veterinary attention immediately as it could be the early stages of some very serious and contagious dog illnesses.
Hope he's doing fine soon!

It could be the other food was a bit much for his puppy tummy! Just like giving an infant food we would eat before they have a chance to get use to it!

hopefully it was just the change in food, but you might want to call the vet and if it continues then definately take him in, since he is a puppy it could be parvo but its less likely since you have his shots taken care of, just watch him carefully, you never can be too careful with puppies, they're just like babies

A sudden change in food will make a dog very sick. If he's ok now, he's ok.
