At the park, that's all I had. My daughter touched some pretty icky things. I know it's a dumb question, but I just need to know! Thanks.

Baby wipes are one of the greatest inventions in the history of parenting! My kids are 18 and 21 now, but I still keep a supply in our bathrooms and in my purse for portable cleanups. The icky things your daughter touched will probably do her less harm than wipes with a lot of chemicals, though. Look for the most natural ones you can find even if they are a bit more expensive. Anyway, don't stress about a 2-year-old putting icky things in her mouth. Soon she'll want stuff that's a lot more harmful than your average bug.

Why wouldnt you be able to use them? Is there a hand washing gang of rouge policemen waiting to punish you for incorrect hand washing procedure?

I use baby wipes for everything. I usually have a little thing of purel in my bag too, to wipe his hands with when we're done.

Last time I checked kids didnt die from dirt. They built immunities from it.

My son's never been sick. So I guess baby wipes are better than nothing.

It's better than nothing, but wash her hands as soon as possible, because wipes are not a substitute for hand washing, because they can't take care of the germs.

Wipes are fine when you can't wash,,but if your unfamiliar with plants she touched then keep an eye on her for rashes just in case she is allergic to something.(like poison oak)
Children are curious, these things happen.

You gotta do what you gotta do. Try to keep "wet ones" on hand for such times... those are antibacterial. I keep a pack in my console of my car, one in the diaper bag and one in my purse. They're only $0.99 .
