Registered charities normally have to confide their business dealings to the goals spelled out in their charters to preserve their status. Any undertaking outside of your charter could trigger taxable income and therefore taxes would have to be paid.

Consult with an attorney who specializes in this type of law to make sure that you don't inadvertantly trigger any taxable events. The attorney who helped you set up your non-profit in the first place would be a good starting point.
