Its a fairly costly idea not extremely but it could work. What companies should i contact to help fund this or even advertise my idea?
I can only think of greenpeace.org
Any others, also do you think the government would be willing to give a grant to help with this?

It would depend on just what you had in mind. There are dozens (perhaps hundreds) of companies and organisations that are seroiusly involved finding ways to combat climate changes. The differnt approaches include, amongst others, biological, chemical, astronomical and physical. Some are being developed as private enterprises, others as university research projects, still others by government departments and agencies contracted to them.

Just for information, the most costly scheme proposed so far has a price tag of $452 trillion (based on current technology, with the development of new propulsion schemes the cost would likely fall to around $30 to $50 trillion).

There are many suggestions that people have put forward as a means to combatting global warming that have already been considered or are currently being considered. It may be that your idea has already been thought of.

Because of my line of work I know about most such schemes. If you want to add more details or e-mail me (you don't need to give specifics) I can probably advise if it's already been thought up, who by and what progress has been made.

Get a patent for your idea first, then advertise for sponsors in the paper. That way if a rich bugger comes and flogs your idea, you can sue. The biggest and richest company I know that might be interested, is Google. They all for Greenpeace and global warming.

You should contact greenpeace or some organization like that. I'm sure they have an email address or some way to contact them on their Web site and then you can find out if someone else has already come up with your idea or not.
