. The Koran is just another translation of the Old Testament with Mohammad’s fingers in the pie. Instead of chapters, verses and who’s time it was about or what was happening it’s set up a little different. For instance Exodus, Joshua, Kings and Job are books of the Old Testament. Whereas The Koran is set up with names like, Sura – 5 The Table, Sura – 41 The Made Plane, Sura – 21 The Prophets, Sura – 18 The Cave. What it mentions as the name of the Sura will show up somewhere in the Sura. Instead of verses it’s as though it’s divided into thoughts such as thought 4 and it can blend into thought 5 but changing direction. It dwells on the wrath of God. There is a Sura on how to treat a wife if a man divorces her and what she is entitled to monetarily. Also a Sura on how to pay alms and mixed in among the Suras are tales from the Old Testament. There is even a part about Jesus Christ. Mohammad believed that Christ was a great prophet but not the son of God.

Christ was a peace maker, Mohammad a conqueror so it shouldn’t be too hard to figure out. I have the same respect for the Koran as the Bible. I suggest that as poorly as the Koran translates from Arabic to English everyone should read it. It will give you a good insight into the thinking of Islam.

Jesus died and rose again from the dead, giving mankind the opportunity to come to a right relationship with God. He lives to this day, as an Advocate for His people.

Mohammed, maybe a nice guy, but had the notion he had something new from God and wrote his own version of what he thought was God's word. Oh, yeah, Mohammed is dead.

Jesus was there at creation. That was thousands of years before Mohammed was even born.

The Bible was written over a period of over 1500 years, having all of it's texts done over 600 years before Mohammed was born, being accepted and known as God's inspired word - yet Mohammed had something new?

Jesus healed many, fed thousands, taught thousands, raised up a small band of trusted men as well as other disciples. This small band of people turned the world upside down, without any bloodshed. How many skurmishes was Mohammed involved in?

Jesus never preached that any "infadels" should be exterminated. And, even though He is the Way, the Truth and the Life (He, as He Himself said), He never forced anyone to follow Him. He called those whose hearts were prepared and taught them about the Kingdom of God. How many were forced into Islam?

In the long run, Jesus lives and Mohammed is dead.

Jesus was the son of God that died for our sins. Even the Koran states that Jesus was born of a virgin and could perform miracles and raise the dead, they just miss the death, Resurrection (Sunni and Shea disagree on whether there was a Crucifixion) and the salvation of those that believe in him! The Bible is reliable and we have copies of the texts that are within a couple decades of Jesus death and during the time there were still witnesses alive. I will take the word of witnesses that Jesus was the son of God and is the only way to salvation.

There is none better than Jesus.

Buddha never claimed to be God. Moses never claimed to be Jehovah. Mohammed never claimed to be Allah. Yet Jesus Christ claimed to be the true and living God. Buddha simply said, "I am a teacher in search of the truth." Jesus said, "I am the Truth." Confucius said, "I never claimed to be holy." Jesus said, "Who convicts me of sin?" Mohammed said, "Unless God throws his cloak of mercy over me, I have no hope." Jesus said, "Unless you believe in me, you will die in your sins." --Unknown

Different people will say one is better then the other. But mo hammed was a person like you and I and all the rest but Jesus was without sin and He died on the cross to save sinners and not only that He arose from the dead and is alive forever more and this also gives us hope who worship Jesus.

No contest here, Miche, Mohamed didn't even exist. Here's the deal. A couple a guys herding some goats in the desert had a bunch of time on their hands so they made the whole thing up. Sorry to have to be the bearer of bad tidings, but Mohamed, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, Oh Wait, maybe not Santa Claus but the rest aren't real. Does this answer you question, Miche?

P.S. Opsie, could you cool it a little? Surely your vocabulary is more extensive than that!!!

Hmmm. I've never heard of Mohammed performing miracles or raising the dead so ........ Jesus of course. Mohammed was a serial killer that killed everyone who wouldn't become a Muslim. Jesus would never do such a thing.

Having read about both I would have to say Jesus and note that of the two he's the one who wouldn't be in prison if they were alive now.

Jesus of course, He spreads faith through love and forgiveness, Mohamed through blood and violence. The choice is simple.
