I found this gem online. A 2006 Mercedes Benz CLS500 with 21000miles for over $20000 off Kelly Blue Book. I already talked to an employee of the Salvage Yard. They said the car has a clean title and has no noticable damage (other than a small scratch on the rear fender). It runs and drives and looks stellar. I am just a little hesitant towards buying a car that was once stolen. http://www.casmiami.com/inventory/displaycar_7151.html

The dealer selling the car is a dealer, not a junkyard! The domain name was registered in 1998, so they have been in business for a while! The car may have a clear title, but it may be branded salvage! At the very least, Carfax and Auto Chek will show it as a recovered stolen vehicle!

The fact that a car is stolen and recovered does not necessarily mean it is a bad vehicle. I have purchased several recovered stolen cars, that were not recovered until after the insurance claim had been settled!

The price they are listing is a little bit below average wholesale! With the recovered stolen situation, it is a fair deal, but it is not something that I would get excited about! KBB pricing on that vehicle (if they are offering it for $20,000 less) is way off the mark!!

KBB is only a guide! In my experience, it is usually a lot higher than the actual value of a vehicle.

I would have the car checked out by (in this case) a MB dealership, and I want to pay a lot less if it checked out ok!

My heavens, I under no circumstances were flashed, however I did accidentally flash a couple of people as soon as. I was once within the medical institution a while again and made up our minds to take a stoll to the merchandising field. Well, I wasn't considering what I was once dressed in and, allow's simply say that the ones medical institution robes do not depart plenty to the creativeness at the bottom. The nurse got here up from in the back of me and positioned a blanket over my shoulders . . . I was once pondering why it was once a bit of drafty again there!

Its not a bad purchase, but just be careful and dont let it happen to you. If it was stolen once, it might be stolen again (i hope it doesnt happen though) Also, see if you can talk to the owner and find ways to keep the car safe.

Online - or even in adverts - the chances of buying a "recovered theft" car can be quite high

Don't buy any car without having a word with the previous owner.

Nothing wrong with the car and yet at a $20K discount.
'Salvage yard' employees snag up any really good deals.
Just don't buy it without some type of warranty.
