Thanks for the answers! I did everything but she didn't believe me still because she couldn't see them. When I cryed she said that she would take me to the doctors if I payed for it. I said I would and later that night she showed me an article about pin worms and finally believed me. I wouldn't have done it with out you though! :)

pinworms. It's very common in children. They just started selling a pin worm medication in grocery stores for this problem. It's very important to wash yours hands after using the bathroom too be cause the eggs of these worms can get under your finger nails and if you puts her fingers in your mouth, you will re-infect herself. Pinworms come out at night usually and lay eggs outside the rectum. Usually the itching is worse at night because this is when they are active.

I commend you for your concern for your mom. She may have clinical depression or Bipolar or something else. These illnesses are very real and are due to chemical imbalances in the brain. Using alcohol or drugs makes the symptoms much, much worse. There must be some adult who can help out with making decisions. Where is her parents? Or siblings? or husband? or any relative/cousins, aunts, etc?? Your mom definitely needs to be medically evaluated for these 'parasite' beliefs. She may have something medically wrong with her. You are not responsible for your siblings nor your mom, but I understand you wanting to help. I don't know your mom's age--If she is over 60, the department of Aging for your county may be able to help. Your mom has NO insurance, either through her job, or through medicare or your dasd's insurance? I think talking with another adult, who knows about these things would benefit you greatly. If worse comes to worse, she can be treated in an emergency room even without insurance. She can be psychologically evaluated there too to see if she needs psychologial help.

What you have is called pin worms. You need to get medication for it. I think they now sell over the counter medicine but I am not sure. But you can check with the pharmacist at the store. Wash your hands every time you go to the bathroom and change your underwear everyday. I believe they should be washed in hot water. But you can go to this website http://www.webmd.com And be sure you wash your bedsheets too. You toilet should be wiped down every time you use the bathroom as well to be on the safe side and do not put you hands in your mouth.

Listen dont worry

First of all, tell your mum you're being serious, i.e. START CRYING IN FRONT OF HER. She will then believe you.

Then call your doctor, or if you cant see your school nurse (if you're a child). Tell them its urgent and DONT be embarassed. After all your doctor/nurse doesnt really know you, and believe me they would have seen things far worse than this.

Also stay away from your pet, and be very hygienic when handing litter.

GO TO THE DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY, and for the time being be really careful about washing hands, washing regularly....

Btw dont worry it is curable - go to this link below

Good luck and dont be embarassed. Tell your mum and sort it out NOW

If she's that bull headed, tell her you are having cramps and want to see a doctor. In the examining room tell him the truth. Folks may have imaginary friends, but not imaginary worms. Most of them can be taken care of with medicine. I don't know what type you have (ascaris is the most common), but most are parasitic and will cause anemia at the least and other things at the worst.

Eating garlic used to be the cure.

I think that if your mom wont go and look, you can go to the department of public health, and talk to the nurse there. She will ask you for a specimen, a jar with some of the poop in it, and she will have it tested.

These people will give young people birth control, and they will treat std's, so I don't see any reason why you couldn't get help from them for this.

Take it from a granny, you need to tell your mom, and if that don't work, show her. You need to go to the doctor. It's nothing serious, but serious enough you need to be treated and by a doctor. My grandson had pinworms just last month and after taking a prescription, they were gone within a couple of weeks. Please take my advice and tell your mom to take you to the doctor. If she don't then go to someone else, just get treated. You can spread them so take care of it!!!

Can you see the school nurse?

You need to see a doctor. Your health comes first. Demand that you see a doc a.s.a.p.

Go to your teacher or school counselor immediately. They will then contact your mom and make her take you to the doctor before you can come back to school.

There are over-the-counter deworming pills for you at the pharmacy. You can just go in and ask for it. don't be embarrassed it's not uncommon.
I'm just curious, but have you lost weight and are excessively hungry too? I ask this because this is the symptom in children.
