i live alone wid my daughter n i have a job but dnt get paid anothe to support me n the baby so i asked if i could have the benefits changed to my name so i can support ma daughter wid that but my gf wont let me coz she dont wanna have no money do you think this is right?

Absolutely get those benefits in your name.Tell her to get a job. Also make sure you go to court and get custody of your child so she cant take her away out of spite or to get the benefits for her own use. The department of welfare will also help you with child care expenses making it easier for you to get by on what you earn. God bless you and your daughter, shes lucky to have you.

The one who is caring for and in custody of the baby is the one who needs the benefits... go down to the welfare office and file for AFDC... tell them what is going on and tell them you need some real help.

you're a good dad there should be more like you...
no it's not right
if she isn't taking care of the baby like YOU are then YOU need the benefits
she is living under the roof of her mom
you have to pay taxes
press charges or something if she doesn't understand

this is common sense: you need the money more
