Since you didn't qualify your question, why do you assume I am closed-minded? In the general sense, I am *not* closed-minded. If you think the definition of being open-minded is that I must consider the possibility that God does not exist, then you're deluded. I have physical and experiential proof for the existence of God. I'd be a fool to ignore such evidence. You might as well suggest that I should consider the possibility that *YOU* don't exist.

Let me ask you... Are you open-minded concerning the possibility that God *DOES* exist? ...or have you already decided He does not exist? If not, then I guess you've accepted your fate. If you're still open to the possibility, good -- because, then, one day God will prove Himself to you, too.

interesting question

the ones that seem to ask it most are the ones that expect others to throw out everything from the others mind and believe anything.

Once as a Jew i was close minded to Jesus, he was a cus word to me. But the more I read in the prophecies the more I believed Jesus is our messiah and not a liar.

Now that I have come to know Jesus as my personal savior, best friend and Messiah, there are those that say be open minded, maybe Jesus never existed or that he lied, or that the prophets lied saying he would be God= Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a child will be born, a son given, and he will be the mighty God the prince of peace..."

to those that dont know Jesus, those that do are closed minded, but the point is all that know him once were close minded and refused to believe him.

I think everyone should be open minded, without it I still would be cussing with the name of Jesus, yet there are goody two shoes that are self righteous thinking they are better than others, when we are all the very same with the same need of knowing Jesus not a religion or self righteousness.

its funny too cause some say they are open minded, studied about religion and were born a Christian and now are an athiest or whatever cause they are open minded, well they never came to know Jesus, being open minded doesnt mean if you go in a garage you become a car, or born to parents the have religion, but dont know Jesus personally. Or going to a church makes you a Christian-John 3 Nicodemus was open minded he came to Jesus and asked how to be born again, yet once he was a leagalistic person close minded to Jesus.

I am a natural scryer and talk with trees. Tree's become a medium for me almost like a view into the ONE mind, To me Tree's represent God most in this illusion. Think about it they are all around in our living quarters and touch most of our lives. Now I would assume you might not see this as close -minded--yet today tree showed me a woman with a hood on her head , and expression on her face appeared loving, yet she was feeding a Koala Bear. These Bear's only live in one area and only eat one plant , This puts a huge limitation upon them of being non-adaptable , so that I saw this means somewhere in my psyche there is some close-mindedness and I for-give it to H.S. to correct. Thank-you .

Everyone's close-minded to some extent, so I'll put it like this: I'm comfortable where I am; it's so close-minded to the point where I reject everything, nor is it too open-minded to where I accept cannabalism right off the bat. I'm in a safe mean between the two, and I think that's quite perfect.

Sure... I've made deep enough inquiry on a few subjects that I'm now close-minded about. Several religions doctrines and in general god-belief, after-death life and a few other topics are pretty much put to rest in my mind. You might say that I've closed the book on these topics and I'm satisfied with my convictions.

It is foolish to continue searching a topic when the topic itself fails to yield any reasonable purpose for doing so, isn't it.?

Next case.

It sounds like You are closed minded for calling someone with a different opinion closed minded. This question is just a taunt to start a fight. Uncool.

That would be "closeD-minded" m'dear... and there is a HUGE difference between being CLOSED-minded and what I refer to as being "Settled-minded."

I, as are many Christians... and others of faith... and non-faith!... have THOUGHT THROUGH our faiths/beliefs. We have considered what we have heard, read, and learned, and have come to the CONCLUSION that "THIS" is what we believe, and we do not believe or accept anything else. While we will gladly "hear someone out," even evaluate what they are saying, but we may have LIKELY already HEARD this point of view before and dismissed it as "not agreeing with ours." Our minds are "SETTLED" on the matter.

It is not that we are CLOSED to new ideas... when we hear new ideas, we will, again, listen and consider them against our belief-system, and, again, find them wanting. Again, we are not CLOSED... we are "SETTLED."

WHY is this such an anathema to you? Just because we have CHOSEN our beliefs and our minds/hearts/spirits are "settled" as to what we believe, WHY do you accuse us of being CLOSED-minded?

You might say we are CHOSEN-minded, even! But you folks keep tossing around this "Closed-minded" to insult, dishonor, and disrespect us and our beliefs. Yet you want us to respect YOUR choice of belief (or non-belief), but if we call YOU Closed-minded... well!!! Hmmm... can you spell HYPOCRISY?

Have a blessed day.

That's kind of an interesting question, since many people consider anyone who thinks differently than them to be close-minded, and very few people would recognize themselves as being close-minded to the point of wishing to explain it.

I've never really been closed-minded. I'm pretty open to every facet of life, as accepting them, not living them myself. I think youth today is beginning to accept more cultures and societies and they are ever intertwining with each other. think about tattoos. they were strictly a tribal decoration. Now everyone has got one....well not me. LoL
