loyalty be to not want to serve their natural "God Created" desires? Did he not tell Adam the name of the trees himself? One was "Knowledge" and the other was "Life" right? Aren't these both natural desires for us even 6000 or so years later?

I understand that what is said to be in play was man’s subjection to God but, was that ever really in question? Who made who? It’s clear that man, as a creation, would be less than and not equal to his maker right? So, why test humans?

He only wanted us to have a free will. He didnt want us to be like robots!! that's pointless! so, He let Adam chose. Adam knew what he was doing..he didn't have to.

and the tree was 'The Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil.''

Love in Christ

because some people want to obey God and some don't. This gives them a chance to choose, and also the opportunity to see how things work when we don't obey God.

Adam chose to follow his wife instead of his wife following him. If Adam had chosen to disobey God it would have been a little different.. Eve was created to be a help mate to Adam.

We all test our children, we give them instructions and leave them alone to see if they follow. If they follow then we know that we can leave the room, or house and it will be ok as they are obedient. If we have a disobedient child then we can not trust them with any responsibility..
If they become really disobedient teens sometimes we have to take them out of the family to save the rest of the kids, like in examples of drug addiction. It is impossible to live in the same house with drug addicts and raise good children..

Good question & would be better to have God answer this! But as far as I read the Bible I come to know that God created man in His own image, with a free will.True love cannot be forced out of anybody & thats why He gave man the free will to obey Him in love or disobey. But even though Adam failed ,the 2nd "Adam" namely Jesus won the test that through Him we are made righteous & through Him we pass the test with faith in Him.When we don't believe in Him there is no ground for reasoning. We don't have answers for everything but somehow we try to accept things that seem convenient to us even though we dont have answers.Somehow folks find it hard to accept the things of God these days though.

Actually, can you picture Adam and Eve going along quite igorant and happy about it until something happened. This ignorant woman gets into a conversation with a snake or serpent or some other kind of reptilian thing...imagine that! If Eve had any measureable intelligence to begin with, this incident alone should have caused concern... we don't know of any other talking critters up to that point. So, this ignorant woman sees a tree and sees that it appears to be good to eat and it is pleasing to the eye and this snake/serpent is talking about knowing everything God knows and not dying (whatever dying happens to be, since we have no account of anything or anyone dying to that point, either). Eve thinks, "I wonder if it tastes like chocolate?" The rest is history.

To coincide with your argument I would like to say that god is great! If you are confused about your purpose in life ask the creator. He created you! Spend time in thanksgiving(which is worship), prayer(which is communing), and take a day to fast which will you give you clarity of mind. You might need more than a day depending on your relationship with Him. You want to pursue Jesus for Jesus, not to have Him fix your problems. Thats why they have AA. The life oof a child of God is not a easy life, but it is gooood. So have fun and pick up your faith and meet with Jesus.

First you have to make an assumption that God created man as he is today which I doubt. Man evolved and with that evolution came thought. To keep our sanity i.e. mental well being as we understand it today, we crated the God you described. It is my belief that God created basic law of nature and when they are met certain things happen such as 2 atoms of hydrogen and 1 atom of oxygen mixed will always create water or h2o. Billions upon billions of galaxies exist with billions of suns and planets (earths). There is a lot of mixing and evolving out there of which we are just a tiny tiny example. What happens happens due to laws of the universe which God set into motion what happens is the result of action taken by God when He started all creation. When the Big Bang occurred all things were set into motion and have to follow the basic laws of the universe not the silly interpretations of mankind. I hope this helps you start to understand more about who and what we are and possibly the why.

Add to that, if God is perfect and create perfect things, how come his creations can screw up so much. He (she) even had to destroy them a couple of time because they did not turn out as expected. Some designer eh!

well god has given you a choice of choosing the paths that you want and i think that it's very obvious that going on the right way has always been hard and difficult whereas wrong paths have been easy and full of fun, god is testing us for our actions and deeds as we are taught what is right and wrong so if we follow the right path we'll go to heaven if not then we go to hell.
