i had a period of about a year where i NEVER threw up from drinking even if i had way way too much, but lately every single time i drink (even if it's not a lot) i end up barfing. why does this happen? the circumstances are basically always the same.. its the same kind of alcohol and my stomach always has a little food in it.

You may have lost your taste for that alcohol I myself can't stand to even look at Bacardi O anymore. One drink and I'll toss my lunch.

Another possibility is that your stomach may have something wrong with it. A third possibility is you may have developed an allergy to something in that particular alcohol. Try taking a break from alcohol for awhile or try mixing it up and drink something new.

Of course it may also be stress, have you been worried about something lately?

The only time I have ever heard of this is if a person has a chronic alcohol problem. A person's body becomes intolerant to alcohol because the liver is deteriorated to a point that it can no longer metabolize alcohol. This is seen in fatty infiltration of the liver, cirrhosis, and even gallbladder disease as a result of alcoholism.

Do you have a chronic alcohol problem or, if you do not, does anyone else think you do? I am NOT claiming you are alcoholic; I do not know you, but under the circumstances, it is a valid question.

You need to see a doctor.
