That's when my wedding is too! Congratulations! I sent out my save the dates a little earlier...in early November. I would say that you send your xmas cards and save the dates seperately. They are two different events.
Also, for my save the dates...I didn't want to spend to much so I bought avery postcards in a nice creamy matte finish and designed my own. Then, on the back, I attached a little personalized sticker with my name, fiance's name, and the date on it so that my guests could use that on their calendars. You can get the round stickers at any office supply store and print it up yourself. I did everything by computer...so it looked really nice and only spent about $20 on the whole thing. Let me know if you want to see it. I have it saved in my computer!

Well I asked this question a week ago and got a bunch of mixed reviews!! I did how ever find one go answer that was very helpful.
Yes you could and it shouldn't be a problem but with all the Holiday cards, and excitement of Christmas it might get lost in all the Holiday stuff! Then your save the date isn't as special and people wont remember the date!
Send them out the first of the year and then people will have there new calenders and be able to write it in!
Best wishes and Good luck planning your special day!

I do not think so. Most people do not read their Christmas cards. And that is a little soon. Send them two weeks into January. Thats a new year and symbolizes a fresh start.. like you wedding day.

I wouldn't send them at Christmas time, because they are going to get lost in the shuffle of holiday stuff. Send them out in the first week of January, and then they will get the attention the deserve, and people will actually remember to save the date!
Good luck!

I would just tell them in the Christmas card, and not have a formal save the date.

Send them now, before Christmas, before people start making plans for other holidays.
Then send Christmas cards. You don't want them to be pushed aside.
for our save the dates, we made postcards. i designed the words and pictures on the front in powerpoint, saved it as a jpg file and had them printed out at walmart. i glued them to cardstock with all of the details and address. they were really cheap, about 30 cents each to make. make sure you get good glue though. i used office depot brand glue stick for these and it worked great, but staples brand didn't.

Go to a craft store and print up the ones they have there.
I have a friend who went to the little photo booth machine where it takes your phot 4 times and prints it out.
They made copies of that stip of photos, with the date and information on it and sent those out.
Sure send them with christmas cards. Just get them out.
ASAP

I think it should be ok. I think it may bring smiles because it is a happy day. Why not?? Go for it
Congrats!!!
Another idea what you can do. Maybe not put the invitations quite yet but like an announcement telling them that your going to get married. Just a thought!! :0)

in case you have countless human beings coming from out of city and out of state, i could surely deliver them by the tip of October or November on the latest. Then deliver the invites out in like March or April, with an RSVP date of sometime in June or July so which you may have a correct customer checklist.
