i recently ran across tht while looking how to dye my own hair (not with kool-aid tho lol)
and it works with any hair color, just the wait times are different

your hair has to be a light color or bleached for it to work. add just enough water to the powder to make a paste. apply the paste to the sections of your hair that you want dyed, leave it on for about 30-45 minutes then rinse out until the water runs clear.
This is temporary so the more you wash your hair, the faster the dye will fade.

I used Kool Aid to dye mine once and i just added conditionar to it so maybe its the same

well it will last all of...10 seconds, dear. Its going to be a nasty mess. I suggest you try real dye.
