Are mold and fungus the same thing?

I have a science fair project to do. So, I was wondering if they are synonyms?

All molds are are a type of fungus but not all fungus are molds.

Mushroom forming fungi are members of the Basidiomycota and Ascomycota. Molds are classified in the deuteromycetes, or the Fungi Imperfecti.

I believe mold is a type of fungi. Fungi can also be mushrooms. So,yes I do believe mold falls under the catergory of fungi.
