I have no control over it. Does it happen to you also? is this a normal reaction?

Mr. Knowitall, I don't know what exactly you mean by "affectation". But I don't see the other person and she doesn't see me, so if you think this is pretending you are wrong.

I have noticed it, as well as had others point it out to me. I never could explain why, other than it being an uncontrollable physical response. At least until seeing the web site just posted by Pangel. Thanks Pangel. It's very interesting. May possibly be an explanation.

I don't do it myself, but don't pay mind to people who crack on you about it! You're straight.
As for you supposedly be a "girl", I'll be up front. I'd much rather see a guy tilt his head or cry, than see a guy who think that showing feelings and emotions are just for "giiiiiirls!"
I have much more respect for men who openly show their love, emotions, and affections.
As I say "I love you so much, Zalem" I am tilting my head!
It's ok what you're doing, sweetheart!

Most of the pheramones (correct sp?) are released from the top of your head. Subconsciously then, you tilt your head for your partner to get a better whiff of them, thus making you more attractive to her. Men are attracted to more women because women are shorter.
What????

sometimes my humor is not always understood, so I deleted my other answer before posting it.
upon further reflection, I think we all but body language into our speech patterns.
I have some friends who cannot talk with out moving their hands, of course when you are talking on a computer, this become essential.

Most people will tilt their heads slightly while listening. Are you sure you don't do with with everyone? (Not just those you love.)
Maybe you listen more intently to people you love than people you don't, and therefore your head has a more pronounced tilt.
;-)

Just your body language hon... we all have our little mannerisms that mark us as who we are when dealing with loved ones. Some come from what was modeled to us by our care givers as children and some come from deep inside ourselves. Just be who you are.... we all should do that...

Much easier to get an eyeful of the bosom with the head tilted, you see....
