When it was my 6th birthday I think, I had a beautiful Princess cake, wonderful presents(I have realized those were some great presents!), but I was very unpleased, I was about to leave my grandparent's house, then I started crying...
"Mommy I wanted a kitten!!!" Booo hooo hooo....

Then almost all of my relatives came out, and said its ok its ok , maybe next year, yada yada yada....
But then my Great uncle who lived next door went over to his house and said, Hold on one minuet sweetie-pie,
Then he came back with a Calico kitten that was born a month or two ago , (he wasn't planning to give it to me anyway) and he gave it to me.And then in the car ride home the cat was freaking out and climbing everywhere. Then when we got home in jumped out the car and ran away, and I never saw it again.

And now I'm feel such a fool because I made a huge deal foe nothing! And I feel so greedy! I am not like that anymore, but still! How do I get over this thought! How do I apologize to my family

Don't beat yourself up about something that happened when you were six! It's over, it's done with, and guess what? That's how six year olds act. Wait until you have kids of your own. You will be saying "Oh yeah, I remember being that age." It's all part of life.

Learn how to forgive yourself, it was not your fault the kitten ran away, and its not like you neglected it or let it run away. That kitten just wasn't meant for you is all. Your holding onto to much guilt over something that wasn't that big of a deal. We live and learn in this life, and it looks like you've changed, so move on.

Well hon we have ALL done some embarrassing things and have been selfish at times.THAT is human nature. The GREAT thing is you realized you were wrong for behaving that way and as you said you arent like that now.You LEARNED and grew some. That is a good thing about you.Dont lose it.
