Some people don't understand what it means when a child is fully potty trained- ignore that.

First off what is your son normally doing when it happens? I mean does it happen during just a specific time like when he is playing? Because my nephew started doing it at 4 also and he was fully potty trained by 2 but he just did it because he got too busy playing he would be excited/happy/content playing and he would not want to stop playing long enough to go into the bathroom.

I have also had a few friends that had the same sort of thing happen. With them though it was because of change- has there been any major changes in your childs life?
One friend her husband went to iraq, another found out the child was being abused by a family member (didn't find that out until they reminded her what a bad touch was), and the other friend the child was in preschool (he was 5 but missed the dates for kindgergaten) but he started peeing his pants in just the middle of the day because he thought that he would be treated like a baby and not have to go to preschool.

he may just get into something that he's doing and forgets he has to go... i coached a cheerleading team for 5-7 year old girls and we had this accur a lot where the girls would get so involved in practice that they would forget to go to the bathroom and all they had to do was ask, we never told them no because of their age... he probably hides his clothes because he is embarssed that he peed his pants since he is fully potty trained he knows he shouldnt be doing that... try to ask him a little more often if he has to use the bathroom, if he hasn't gone in a while but keeps saying no he doesnt have to go, than ask him if he can to the bathroom and try anyway

My 3yr old started wetting herself after being trained for almost a year. I told her if she kept it up she was gonna have to wear diapers again and she stopped wetting her pants

he is being lazy, and the hiding of the wet clothes tells me that he is afraid of you for some reason. I had all girls, but not one wet their pants after they were trained. Is he wetting the bed? maybe he is doing it to make u mad, or just to get a reaction out of u.
