The basic phones these days are pretty fancy... Razors and the like. Most have cameras. Stick with one of those and prove your maturity with it, then you can always upgrade. You are staring at $40-$45 a month for basic service.

Why not get one your mom is willing to pay for at this time and then upgrade when you get a job and can pay for it yourself?

If she has agreed to get you one, you should be overjoyed...not stressing over getting a 'cool' one. If she is paying, then you need to work within her budget. There will be plenty of time after you start working to get the phone of your dreams. You might even decide against it because it is too pricey for your budget and pick another kind.

I think it's great your mom is willing to let you get a phone after all this time........ now it's time for you to work with her and make it one she can afford.

ummmm........by your added note I think I'm beginning to see why your mom has waited 3 years.

I still say the 'phone for me' is one you should pay for yourself......if your mom is paying she has the choice of phones. Until you pay.......you take what you get....and if you are appreciative, you wouldn't be so rude.

Forget it, you don't deserve anything.
