well we went to a football game and it was pouring so my did put the camera in his pocket..when he got home we were told to put it to wash so we did with out checking the pockets..well the camera is FE-180 Olympus pllleeeaassseee help

R.I.P. Olympus FE-180. Water and gravity are the leading killers of digital cameras. Your mom can use it as a paperweight and you can buy her a new camera for Christmas.
Even after it dries there is probably internal damage from the agitator in the washer.

If it had just been the washer, I'd suggest waiting for it to dry out normally but the heat from the dryer may short-circuit it. I'd suggest taking it back to the store to see i fthey can fix it.

Sorry, but water is the death knell for digital cameras. It so easily shorts the circuit board. Best thing to do is put it up for sale on eBay.

Take it to a camera shop and have them check it out. Otherwise, someone should replace it for your Mom.
