while you're searching for the fact and characteristic not got here upon it after quite a few readings of the Bible, then you definately could examine it persistently until it speaks to you. Luk 8:8 And different fell on stable floor, and sprang up, and bare fruit a hundredfold. And while he had reported those issues, he cried, He that hath ears to take heed to, enable him hear. Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by utilising listening to, and listening to by utilising the observe of God. a million. Gen a million:25-26 vs Gen 2:18-20 this isn't a contradiction, the 1st financial ruin of Genesis components a precis of His creation on an afternoon after day foundation whilst the 2nd financial ruin is going into the creation in greater component. additionally that's significant understand that merely because of the fact issues look in a definite order interior the Bible, it would not inevitably stick to that they are in cronological order. despite the fact that the beast's creation are reported first in financial ruin a million it would not state that they have been created first. yet financial ruin 2 is greater definative and of course states that guy became created earlier the beasts; "that's not stable that the guy could be on my own" 2. Exo 20:13 vs Exo 32:27 The observe “kill” is translated from the Hebrew observe ra?tsach which means specifically, to homicide (or to kill the harmless), however the observe “slay” as used in Exo 32:27 became translated from the Hebrew observe ha^rag, which has a similar which means yet is used in this context for the slaughtering of the to blame. No contradiction right here. 3. Acts 9:7 vs Acts 22:9 vs Acts 26:14 This additionally isn't a contradiction; there is not any fabric difference between those 3 debts, each made by utilising Paul. the 1st describes the surely adventure the different debts describe him explaining the shape to others. In Acts 9:7 those with him heard a voice (or the sound of a voice, a noise). that's obvious from Acts 22:9 that they observed additionally the gentle yet weren't in a position to differentiate the spoken words. To kind Paul a liar in this foundation is a falsehood. As for the Apostles pondering Paul’s preaching, a falsehood. i'm conscious that the Apostles have been careful of Paul earlier each little thing and that Peter defined Pauls teachings as complicated to comprehend, yet i don't think they accused Paul of fake preaching. 4. Isa 14:21 vs Deu 24:sixteen In Deu 24:sixteen Moses is conversing of the regulations by utilising which the Israelites have been to habit themselves while Isa 14:21 is conversing of the destruction of evil.

Here’s a lot of them. Some of them are petty so just skip them and go to the important contradictions. I think the ones about Jesus are the important ones, but for someone who believes the bible does not contradict itself, then just one contradiction should be enough to prove them wrong. I think the world would be a much better place if Christians would believe that the bible is a spiritual book and not facts.
These are quotes from the bible.

There is not enough time, space or interest to read the thousands of contradictions in, for example, the KJV.

If you read the book the contradictions jump from page after page.

They're very easy to find if you don't want to read the book:

1. God is satisfied with his works
Gen 1:31
God is dissatisfied with his works.
Gen 6:6
God dwells in chosen temples
2 Chron 7:12,16
God dwells not in temples
Acts 7:48

God is seen and heard
Ex 33:23/ Ex 33:11/ Gen 3:9,10/ Gen 32:30/ Is 6:1/
Ex 24:9-11
God is invisible and cannot be heard
John 1:18/ John 5:37/ Ex 33:20/ 1 Tim 6:16

The list is very lengthly for anyone to read.

I should have read 'pangloss', I see she gave you a few examples as well! lolol

There are two different version of creation in Genesis. If you don't believe it, you haven't read your Bible and shouldn't be saying what is or is not in the Bible!!!!! riki... hannah

This is what annoys me more than anything! People should not speak about something and say it is truth when they don't know what they are talking about!

I think this is why so many people get so annoyed with certain Christians (not all). THINK or BECOME INFORMED before you speak!!

Edit:
Here's what really gets me. The idea of original sin. So, sex is the result of original sin, yet, according to Genesis, God made man and told them to "Be fruitful, and multiply."

Edit:
Biblethumper: If God's word was so important, why would he trust it to men? Why not make sure that the story be told consistently? After all, according to what God is, he certainly had that ability. This is such a weak defense.

The bible is full of contradictions because people who wanted money added some things, or took away some things to fit their wants and needs. People over history didn't change some of that back, so it is corrupted. If you are going to believe in Christianity, then believe in ONLY God.

An exhaustive study of the account of the MOST important event in Christianity - the resurrection. I studied this while in bible college and it had a great deal to do with my LEAVING.

Just tell me, in order, leaving nothing out, what happened the day Christ rose from the dead, according to the bible. A few problems, for starters will be that the gospel accounts directly contradict about such things as:
who went
why they went
when they went
who was there (men or angels)
how many (one or two)
where they were situated
was the stone rolled away

Well, that should get you started...

Moses' rod turned into a snake, which ate Pharaoh's servants' snakes.

Joshua stopped the sun (or was it God, I forget).

Jesus said some of the people listening to him would still be alive when he returns, in clouds of glory, with angels -- the end of the world.

A book could be written on all the mistakes and nonsense in the Bible, and there would still be more to tell.
