Not often, but I get pretty peeved when they get rid of a color I like, Atelier did that to me recently.

Depends what you are talking about. In painting almost never. In 'interior design' every season.

Nowadays they don't have to have any colors on stock because they can mix the color you want on the spot. No need anymore to retire, invent or introduce colors any more except from a fashion point of view.
