Waffles typically have more fat in them, if that is a consideration.
Both are fun.
Pancakes can be made thick or thin and rolled and filled (crepes are a form of pancake)
Waffles can be adorned with many things, including savory things like bacon, eggs, potato, or sweet fruits and nuts with whipped cream as well.
Waffles take a bit longer to make and don't keep crisp long if you are serving many.
Pancakes are more filling and easier to make with any one of these: chocolate chips, blue berries, banana chunks, raspberries, cherries, raisins, or pieces of crisped bacon baked right into them.
Geez, I must be hungry to go on like this. Oh, ya, looks like dinner time is approaching. I think I'll make pancakes and waffles and have a real hey day.

Waffles. Because I like the texture. Pancakes are heavy and way too fillings. Makes me feel like a swallowed a brick or something.
The rest of my family loves pancakes....so I don't get waffles very often :(

Pancakes because you can add fruit such as bananas and blueberries to them. This doesn't usually work so well with my waffle iron as the fruit pieces tend to burn a bit while the waffle is cooking. :(

Waffles cos they taste better , Ice-cream tastes great on it or cream..... well you know what waffles r just too good there is sooooooooooo many nice things about them
Even in Shrek donkey says hes gonna make Waffles hello he didnt use pancakes my point is WAFFELS RULE!!

I would prefer pancakes because I think they taste better than waffles and more thicker. Plus I love to add sryup on it with whip cream.

That's a tough one. I'd have to say waffles but not those frozen crap ones, real home made ones. If you aren't getting filled up on waffles they you must not be eating real waffles. Eggo waffles are full of air and don't even compare to real ones. Butter and syrup, please..!

pancakes...but not from the freezer!! freshly made pancakes with syrup and a glass of cold chocolate milk yummy!!
