I just got out of a relationship 2 months ago and it was such a releif as bad as that sounds. I was miserable with him at the end and was tired of being unhappy all the time. He wanted me all to himself and I was neglecting my friends. Now that Im single, my focus is on friends, college and work. I just turned 21 so im having fun. I was just in 2 back to back relationships totaling 10 months of being in a relationship. I need a break to be free and refind myself and what I want. So whats wrong with being single, some people are so negative about it?

There is nothing wrong with being single. Especially at 21, that is still young and you should have fun while you can.

Nothing is wrong with it...I think its great that you got out of negative relationships and now youre tryin to focus on you. Youre only 21 and have SO much time to find someone else...someone who will treat you the way you want to be treated.

Dont listen to everyone elses negative attitude about being single. I was single for a large portion of my 20's b/c I couldnt find "the right one" for me...I found him at age 29...and to tell you the truth, Im happy I waited. Theres no need to settle for less than what you deserve.

I give you props! Take all the "you time" you need...YOU GO GIRL!!! =D

Depending on where you live many people think that when you reach adulthood you should be thinking about gettting married and having children. I live in the part of the US where if you reach 25 and are still single, there must be something wrong with you. This is in spite of the growing trend where people are waiting until their 30's before settling down. I suspect that this is the case where you are at.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being single. I rather be single than be in a bad relationship. Some people think that they are not attractive or there is something wrong with them if they don't have a bf or a gf. That's their problem.

There is nothing wrong. I just got out of my 3 years of relationship. I am 22. I now feel like I can define myself and move forward. Sure I loved him with all my heart and we had great connection and he treated me good. But like you said, I didn't have time to be with other friends because of him. I totally feel you.

There is nothing wrong with being single. Those are only lonely people who are so self conscious. Or, they just feel like they know who they are and now ready to settle and find the one. But like us, we are young so we need to refind ourselves and know what we want in our lives.

Cheers to you! :D I feel ya.

Nothing is wrong with being single. If you just don't want to deal with a relationship right now, you don't have to. Besides, people who look down on you for that are crazies. And you don't want the crazies to like you, right?

Being single is great! Just try to make sure you hang out mainly with your single friends, if you're the odd one out in a group of couples then they have the majority and can make you feel bad about it... enjoy life, go clubbing with a girl friend or two... just dance! Enjoy it while you can :)

there is nothing wrong with being single. actually in my point of view, you are more free when you are single and you have more time to be with friends and focus more on colege and work, which is a good thing.
live life to the fullest!! there is so many things you can do!! who says you have to be with someone to have a blast?!

gd luck!

I totally agree with you, I've been single for a little while now and I love it. I'll admit sometimes it can get a little lonely, but other than that it's usually pretty fun to be single :)
