not what I expected...he spilled his guts telling me how much he cared for me and how I was in his heart. Well, I went out drinking with my girlfriends last night and I left my phone at home. He called me twice and left a text message and email. When I got home, I was so upset and my girlfriends decided I needed to go to his house at 1 am and talk to him. Mind you we were all pretty lit so I went and we talked to 5 am and while I feel like things are on the up & up, I feel so stupid. I apologized to him for waking & barging in on him. Do you think this might have hurt our relationship? He says he didn't mind me doing that but I feel like I've lost respect & dignity for myself. I'm feeling like maybe we need to just be friends. What do you think?

Give time and don't rush things if and when things should progress, you will know. Guys get embarrassed over different things than Girls. The 2am thing is something he is probably used to from his male friends. My Ex girl-friend is now my best friend. Break ups don't have to be messy. Treat each other with respect and dignity and things will work out.
The only thing you did that's not common is acted like a guy

I have every reason to believe that you do care for him.........may be quite a bit .Why not mainatain the friendly relationship which is there . The guy is honest although, he has his won compulsions.I feel he is a good person to be more intimate with him. You will like this ......and really treasure it for the whole life .....truly speaking, you may not get another guy like him in your whole lifetime. Wish you all the best.
P.S. I don't think you have lost anything.He is a mature guy and understands you very well before you explain your feelings.
