I just bought a s-video cable and i put it in my laptop, and tv. i tried all the input channels. (1,2,3,4) nothing works. i tried to flip the cable but that doesnt work. do i need a certain program or channel?

You have to go into your laptop and set-up the TV output. Check your TV manual to see what resolutions it will accept through the S port, and then set the Computer to one of those and 60Hz. The details of exactly how to do thyis are dependant on what video board you have.

Your TV has a different 'input' for the SVideo signal. You should have an "input" or "source" button on the remote. Play with it until you reach the SVideo input. Remember to put it back to "antenna" when you are done.
