We have the same person deliver our stuff too. He is very friendly and always makes sure that he delivers at the same time so that we can actually get our stuff. I am getting him a large box of chocolate or maybe a Dunkin Donuts gift certificate closer to Christmas. Something that he can enjoy while he's stuck driving around all day.
And to killswitch, UPS delivery people are not waiters, hairdressers, etc. They do not expect daily tips. They know that the ones that they receive are gifts of gratitude. Its not like the delivery person is going to stand outside with their hand open. Perhaps you should be a little less Grinchy in the holiday season??
Anyways, I'm sure that your UPS man knows you are thankful with or without a gift :) But that gift will definitely brighten his day!! Enjoy your holidays!! Sounds like you're going to have lots of presents under your tree with all those deliveries :):)

I don't think that technically you should tip UPS guys- it's their job to bring you that package, and they're not getting tip pay (less that minimum wage, but comes up to minimum with tips included) like a waitress, but their work's a little (okay, a LOT- my art teacher's husband's a UPS guy, and last thursday I had an earful of "he's not getting home 'til 10") harder around the holidays. If you're consistently getting the same person to deliver your packages, you could kindly offer a small tip (under 5$, all in 1$s) and if they don't accept it, you could try to offer a small gift instead- for instance a nice cookie, which can be a lot nicer than it sounds weird. a good thing to remember whenever you give tips, is that a small incentive can always make a job a little nicer to do, and they might remember you and serve you a little better.

Personaly I think it's a bit odd to tip in this situation, UPS workers make a decent salary and don't depend on tips like waiters and waitresses do. But if you want to feel good about it, maybe a gift card would be nice. Say 10-15 dollars? It would be more personal then just shelling out some cash.

A good thing would be a gift card, or cookies, etc... Drivers make enough and food is always better in my personal experience. Drivers don't get a scheduled lunch like other jobs, they have to eat on the run or take short breaks here and there for the most part just to make it home at a decent hour! To the poster that said shipping prices went up to pay UPS people.....no shipping prices increased because of fuel prices, just like everything else!

well, i don't know exactly what info you are looking for, but every morning I: 1) put on my eyeliner - i use black and fully line the top lide and partially line the bottom lid, about 2/3 the way in. 2) curl my eyelashes - it stays curled better if you heat the eyelash curler with a blow dryer and then curl 3) apply mascara - several layers, and tip the application wand vertical and sweep across the bottom lashes 4) apply foundation - i actually mix two colors to get the best shade 5) apply powder - i have a big compact with several different colors and i sweep the brushe across the colors i want, apply all over my face, especially the t-zone (forhead, nose, chin) 6) apply a darker powder to my cheeks as a blush ok that's it! sometimes after i apply eyeliner i put on eyeshadow. i usually stick to either browns or greys or light pinks. also, i apply foundation to my eyelids before i put on the eyeshadow because it helps it not to crease because of the oil on my eyelids. sometimes i apply a light natural lipstick or lipgloss. i don't go too heavy on the lips because it makes me look old! i wouldn't suggest it.

I got this from the UPS site:
Company policy discourages drivers from accepting tips, but they can accept something of nominal value. Tipping guides offer $15 as a guideline, but the amount and choice of gift are up to you.
So use this as your guideline.

No, in my experience, they just knock on the door and run off. Not to mention when you get the package the cost of shipping made it high enough. They've upped shipping just to pay the UPS people.

I'd say nothing. They're already getting paid for the job they perform.
