No, mary was human, she has nothing to do with becoming a Christian. Jesus Christ is our Redeemer, our Saviour, only by trusting in him can one attain eternal life and then you must be born again. Jesus said not every one that says to me in that day Lord Lord shall inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus said in John 3:3, ye must be Born Again Spiritually, there is a natural birth and a Spiritual Birth, everybody has a natural birth, but only true Christians have been Born Again. A rebirth on the inside, that is why Christianity is under such persecution today, Jesus will change you from the inside, Remember what Jesus said, if you just look at a person with hate in your heart you have sinned. If you look at a woman with lust in your heart you have sinned. Being Born Again washes away all your sins and cleanses you from all unrighteousness, not that you won't sin again, we all sin everyday, but when you are Born Again, Jesus forgives you of your sins when you ask him to and helps you to overcome the sins that you do every day. He is always helping you and working on you making you a better person. Some people just don't want to get better, the Choice is yours, you have Freewill. God doesn't want robots, do you want to be a better person, Jesus can help you get their, take that next step, and you might be suprised at how easy it is and good it makes you feel to believe in something so much bigger than anything you can imagine.

Yes, she is my spiritual mother. You'll hear Christians often refer to Jesus as their brother and God as their father...why wouldn't Mary (the mother of Jesus) be their mother? Why are they so afraid of this? Certainly Jesus loved her and honored her...so in following his example, so do I.

No.
Mary is only a human being, not a false Goddess invented by the European Pope who rejects the Bible for false Italian poetry instead.

Well my mother is Mary. But that is just pure coincidence! I see no reason to read more into Jesus declaring to John that Mary was now his mother. He gave her to John not to all of us.

That "Mary is the Mother of the Church" is a brand new teaching. It was started by Pope Paul 6th in 1965.
Only Roman Catholics believe weird things like that.
Bible believing Christians do not.

No, God is my heavenly father. I do believe Mary is the most blessed women but she sinned. The Bible says that only Jesus and God were without sin. Mary is someone I look up to as a role model but I do not think of her as my mother.

No, your mother is the woman who gives birth to you or the woman who raises you and cares for you if you're adopted.
