Ok I'm really fast (fastest one in my P.E. class), but the problem is I have like no stamina. I recently tried to run the miracle lap on the normal Friday mile, I missed it by 20 secs. I really need to know some ways i can increase my stamina so i can run that miracle lap! And for those that don't know, the mirical lap is 1lap around the track in 65secs for boys and 70 for girls. Thanks for the help!

1 lap (400m) isn't a stamina race, it's a speed race.

To get better at 1 lap, practice running at the speed you need to go to do the miracle lap. Try running 100m in 16 seconds. This is the speed you need to go to get 65 for 1 lap. Run 100m in 16 seconds, rest for about 30 seconds, and run the 100m again. You should do the 100m 4 times, with rest in between.

I'm guessing you are kind of young, maybe 5th or 6th grade? You shouldn't do too much speed training at a young age because you risk getting hurt. Do those 100m AT MOST once a week, and go out and run a mile or two a couple times a week to make your legs stronger.

save practising. in the experience that your working the mile run 3 miles to construct up your stamina. What i do is the area your desirous to do stable at prepare at 3-5 situations that quantity. And which will construct up your stamina. Im longer distance tho 5k's to marathons. yet another ingredient you're able to do is on a similar time as your working those 3 miles is sprint some..jog some..then sprint and jog. After each and every week you will start to word a distinction. save that up and you would be merely effective!

You don't need a hole lot of endurance its more speed. But try running about a 2-3 miles to get you more in shape and try working on you sprints like 200 meter sprints about 10-15 of them with little rest in between or 100 meter sprints about15-17 of those fast with little rest time. Also do lots of core and weight training

adjust your diet. eat carbs for dinner, drink water before running, and drink gatorate after runs with a banana. oh, and a fruit 20 min before u run helps too.
