This is not normal!! It is very painful for your cat and your cat needs to see a vet first thing in the morning!!! Since it is a female cat I am saying the morning, IF it were a male cat you would need to go immediately.
Call your vet first thing in the morning and get an emergency appointment. If possible bring a urine sample. Antibiotics are the normal course of treatment and they will start working very quickly on symptoms.
I would have a discussion with the feline nutrition specialist at your clinic. The food you feed your cat may need to be changed as well, to discourage future infections.
Good Luck.

Get to the vet. It sounds like something serious. Whether it's that she's been in an accident that you don't know about, or it's an illness causing it, you need a vet. If it's something that might prove fatal you also need to know so that you can spare the cat from suffering by having her put to sleep if necessary.

Get her to the vet. Hopefully it's just a bladder infection. That happened with my Cocker Spaniel. It sucked for her, but at least it wasn't life threatening. She just needs some meds. But no matter what it is, she needs medical attention.

Vet immediately! She has an infection, which can be treated easily if caught early, but can be a big problem if treated late!
