I need something fun to do tonight, new to the area, I don't want to go to a bar, or a club or a movie "until Golden Compass comes out" It's cold outside and yucky. What is there to do in the winter night time in Grand Rapids? I don't have kids either, what to do what to do? Please don't link me to a website, I've already looked through them, I'm looking for YOUR answers not googles. Thanks

Hello fellow Grand Rapidian! I am a couple of years older than you but know your plight. I would suggest:
-Schuler's Books and Music (on 28th ST. or Alpine) They have a nice warm fireplace and coffee shop-grab some magazines or a book to look at (for free!) and get a warm cup of coffee or something.
-Rosa Parks Circle (downtown) When it gets a little bit colder you can go ice skating there for free!
-Grand Rapids Art Museum (downtown) is brand new and absolutely gorgeous!
-Frederick Meijer Gardens (NE side of town, off of the Beltline) has Christmas Around the World...heard it is very cool.
Hope this helps...Good luck and have fun!

LOL!!! Well whoop-de-doodle, a Grand Rapids alert!!! Well hell Jas, it snowed here (Connecticut) last night for the first time this season and it's cold and yucky too. At least I have a fireplace I can mesmerize myself with, ha! Well now, if I were in a relationship and that person was home too, I think I'd just swing through the Gay Yellow Pages and see what's up in your area...cruise (not literally!) the clubs or restaurants and have an intimate dinner then check out some hot spots. If you don't want to go out because it's so cold, why not whip up a fantastic dinner for two, cozy up on the floor and dig in. Watch another movie you two love or put on some really fine music and cuddle up. Hell, do it all! Have a great night!

GEMINI Your positive traits: Your lively, outgoing attitude attracts people to you everywhere you go. You can talk your way into - and out of - any situation you desire. You're adaptable enough to flirt with anyone - and people tend to fight over you. Your negative traits: You get easily bored in relationships, and tend to jump from person to person. You tend to be a bit of a player - and have a high tolerance for drama in relationships. Not the most empathetic person, you tend to tell lovers to "get over" their problems. Your ideal partner: Is intelligent and quick witted enough to keep you interested. Is a bit of a shape shifter, providing you with the variety you crave. An open minded person, who's willing to have a non-traditional relationship. Your dating style: Exciting. If your date shows you a new experience (like Egyptian food or scuba diving), you're very happy. Your seduction style: Experimental: it's rare that you try the same thing twice. Ultra kinky - you do stuff that's not even in books yet. Hot and cold... sometimes you're just not into the whole sex thing. Tips for the future: Settle down a little. Sometimes good things come with time - so don't let people go so fast. Acknowledge that you're a player and flirt. If your mate can't live with this, find someone who can. Give your partner a little more attention. You don't have to be a social butterfly all the time. Best color to attract mate: Sunny yellow Best day for a date: Wednesday

Well Ms. Jas...

What to do, What to do...The best thing to do on a night like this is to try to catch a half way decent movie with your significant other. There has to be another one out there that's out yet that both of you want to see.
Try dinner and a movie. When all else fails its a great stand by.
