I want to go to Oxford or Cambridge; however, my parents cannot afford the tuition and the living costs. It's simply impossible. I know I can rely on loans. They don't even expect you to pay anything till you find a nice job. I don't live in England and what I was wondering is that because of England's horrible job opportunities, am I EVER going to be able to find a job? I am really worried. it's risky. I want to major in music, philosophy or English. That makes everything worse. Is an Oxford diploma going to find me a job pretty quickly?

I would appreciate ANY information. Thanks in advance.

You know, people go to college to get an education and while both Oxford and Cambridge are great schools, maybe what you really are looking for is the opprotunity to study in England. There are plenty of colleges in England that will give you this experience without the price tag. Maybe you are just looking for a foreign country. Try Australia or New Zealand, or even Singapore which teaches in English. Start looking at all your options. Also, try scholarships. Maybe start in the U.S. and go there for a master's degree or something.

both are fantastic schools and that degree would look fabulous on a resume however with those 3 degree options you need to be realistic about how much you are paying for the degree compared to how much you will be making after school.
