If it works better than existing medicines and can only be bought by a prescription, I see no problem.

Those people who are in much pain can really get an ease out of life with this drug. In my opinion it shouldn't be illegal. It should be legal for curtain ages and there should also be a limited amount sold, but if everyone does it anyways why make it illegal?

I suffered from fibromyalgia for three years, marijuana is the only thing that works to kill the pain, the only problem with it is that some people - like myself; hate the effects it has on thinking. It makes me paranoid and very uncomfortable in my own skin. I wish the biotechnologists would figure out a way to make a derivative that has the pain killing effects minus the paranoia.

Marijuana should be legal. It helps a lot of people and the government ought to stay out of it. If people think it makes them feel better (relieve symptoms) then it does work.

There are people who aren't prescribed weed but still use it for medicinal purposes.
The government just doesn't want to let it go because it would be like giving into "the war on drugs"

The active ingredient (THC) is already a legal drug in the U.S. It goes by the name Marinol. They are currently working on an inhalation form of the drug.

I think when it comes to a terminally ill person, to deny them anything that may bring them comfort is an atrocity. I say leave the politics out of the doctors office and science labs.
