Questioning something is bad? Isn't that what you're doing now?

Given enough time, the Da Vinci code will be an age old and time tested belief as well.
Why does this anger people so much?
That gullible people will think it is true and believe ... what?
Just a story. Scream at the moon - that will be just as effective.
If you mount an effective campaign against it, even more people will read the book.
Clever chap, Dan Brown.
The bottom line is that Christianity has gone through Roman persecution, two Catholic schisms, the rise of Islam, the Reformation, the Enlightnement, Darwin and the modern consumerist society.
If it needs your help, then it is beyond help. I suspect that it does not need your help and will be here well after you have left this earth.
Get worked up about something else, perhaps some real injustice on this earth.
Peace.

Well, as mentioned by everyone else, it is a work of fiction.
Much like the book you worship so much, it is full of fantasy and mythology. I enjoyed the Da Vinci Code a lot more though.
Oh and btw, if you research the Opus Dei, you will find that they do not have to many fanatical albino psychotic monks running around doing work under the guise of the word the Lord either.
Sit down have a valium and relax dude.

I am a christian and I absolutely loved the book. The author himself said that the bible had endured for thousands of years, and nothing he could ever write or say could change that - and he is right.
However, the theory that he presents in the book has been around for ce nturies (at least from around the Reinaissance onward). Also, there are many major inaccuraices in the book, which, if you did research on, you could pick up on.
So my advice is before you try to attack him, read the book and form an argument based on what you have read and whiat facts you can uncover. YOU MAY EVEN ENJOY IT!

Wow! I am a little surprised that you are so ardent in your hatred of a man who wrote a fictional book. He never meant it to do more than entertain. Do you feel the same way about murder mysteries, love stories, adventure stories that don't agree with your point of view? That is a pretty dangerous and I might add not very intelligent attitude to have. Perhaps, you are just young or not well educated but probably you should work on developing a little tolerance for people with ideas, religions, jobs, backgrounds, ancestry, ethnicity different from yours.

Seriously...why do you care? It wasn't that big of an attack, it was something that people should probably keep an open mind about it, it is not a new idea, and it is about year past being relevant to anyone...I don't think the religious community are all too shaken up by the possibility that Jesus and Mary Magdalane may have been married...if they are, then, that was one feeble foundation for a religion that you have, right thar...

there is nothing wrong with questioning a book that's inconsistent, self-contradictory, and that has theories that have been proven wrong by science.
by the way Im talking about the bible.
besides, I dont see whats the big deal IF the davinci code wouldnt been published as nonfiction when others fiction books are considered non-fiction

I do not support over-reaction, no.
Perhaps you're a little worried that your "time tested beliefs" are a little too shaky to hold up to some light fiction?
Relax.
Peace.
