Have you ever known a millionaire but was not one yourself?
We don't have to be perfect to align our hearts with Jesus.
Look at king David who had an adulterous affair with a married woman, and then had her husband killed. When David died, God said, 'David is a man after My own heart and did righteous in my sight except for the killing of Uriah the Hittite'.
David's life was a mess, but David did seek God's heart in nearly everything he did, and God honored it.

The best way to get anywhere close to Christ that I know of is to trust Him. The person who trusts God is rare on the Earth. It is not often that a person will do it.
If you want to know God, you take sometime away from all the distractions of life and turn off the music, turn off the TV, and use a large amount of time to pray and read the Bible. Many Christians might tell you that you are wasting your time because you are not exercising faith. But I differ with them. You are trusting God that you will not go to Heaven bankrupt spiritually. Who better to trust with that than God?
After a time you will be able to more quickly be aware of God's will, having closer contact and a better relationship than you ever had before.
But people put this off, or don't do it. Doesn't the scripture say,
Psalm 5:3
In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
and also:
Psalm 27:14
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
Psalm 33:20
We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.
Psalm 37:7
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Isaiah 30:18
Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
There is plenty of doing for the Lord to be done. But if you spend some time waiting for His direction alone with Him, you will never have to ask that question again.

We can never be perfect on ths earth and in this body, B ut, we are to strive to be perfect. Meaning that we are to do as perfect as we can and keep getting better. To put our minds in unison with Jesus is about the same. We are to try our best to have a Christ like mind and try to keep getting better.

It is all about living the Christian live. We need to follow Christs example. Jesus went about doing good and so should we. But first we need to accept what Jesus has done for us. He died on the cross for our sins. When we accept the free gift of salvation Jesus comes and lives in our hearts.

None! When you become one with Jesus Christ you become one with God also. Read John 17. We are admonished to be Holy as God is Holy. Lev 11:44,45; 20:7; 1 Peter 1:15,16. Any one who attempts to persuade you from the truth that we are called by God and that we have been called to be Holy, is of the devil and is an Antichrist.

There are no limits. I mean figuratively speaking, no one can be as awesome and pure as God but you just keep growing with God and you keep moving from glory to glory and it just keeps getting better. You are never going to reach that "limit" in your lifetime so it doesn't really matter.

You can get very close if you really get to know him. You have to read the Gospels about what he said to understand who he is, so that you can follow him.
